At Yoga Jeevan retreat Chopta you will get a chance to come out of your comfort zone to practice yoga in the spot which is off the beaten track. Chopta is one of the best trekking destinations of India which is relatively less touched by the outside world. The campsite situated at 2680 meters above sea level and is surrounded by rich species of flora and fauna including musk dears and monals. Chopta falls under Kedarnath wild-life sanctuary and it is adjacent to Kanchula Musk deer sanctuary. There are so many well-defined trekking routes passing through the forest surrounding Chopta camp. We will complete the Tunganath-Chandrashila trek during our stay. Tunganath is a magnificent Shiva temple constructed in North Indian style. At 3680 meters above the sea level, it is considered the highest temple of Lord Shiva in India. You can enjoy a 360-degree view of Himalayan peaks from here as well as rivers Mandakini and Alaknanda. From Tunganath we will trek to Chandrashila summit which is situated at 4130 meters above sea level. This track is about 1 Km long but it can be tiring due to steep climbing. Chandrashila summit is the best point to see the highest peaks of Indian Himalayas. You will also trek to Deoriya Taal. This is a small lake with pristine water in which you can see an exact reflection of Chaukhamba peak.
